What do i do with my seven year old Clamshell iBook?
I have an old graphite clamshell ibook that i inherited from my grandparents. It does not turn on for some reason and i have no idea what to do. Any help?
The battery could be dead. Does it work when plugged up? It could have been dropped or broken in some other way. Check your phone book for repair shops, see if they can fix it up for a reasonable cost and then see which OS it will stand to be upgraded to. Because it's so old, chances are you won't be able to get 10.5 on there, but you might be able to get an older version of OSX. 10.3 or something, perhaps.
If you don't want to go through all the trouble, you can either junk it or turn it in to something weird for your room. There are a handful of Mac mod sites out there that might give you some ideas.
