First, figure out what 30% of $150 is: 150 x .30 = 45. Then subtract that from the 150: 150 – 45 = 105. After this, figure out what 5% of 105 is: 105 x .05 = 5.25 and add it to the 105.
105 + 5.25 = Cost of camera = 110.25.

Figure the discounted price first. To do that, multiply the original price by the discount percentage expressed as a decimal. Therefore:
$150.00
x .30
______
Discount
Subtract the Discount from the original price to get the Sale Price.
Now multiply the sale price by the tax rate, again expressed as a decimal. Therefore:
Sale Price
x .05
_______
Tax
Now add the Sale Price to the Tax to get the total.
You can do the math yourself.

$110.25! =D
$150.00 x .30 = $45
Now subtract your discount price from the original price.
$150-$45= $105
Now add in your sales tax!
$105 x 1.05= $110.25
OR
$105 x .05= $5.25
$105 + $5.25= $110.25
Its easier to add 1 infront of a decimal when doing a percent. It keeps your from doing an extra step.

Find the cost:
multiply 150 X .30 = 45 , then subtract that from the original price
150 – 45 = 105
To figure the tax:
multiply 105 X .05 = 5.25, then add the tax to the price for your total cost. 105 + 5.25 =110.25
Molah Son, I would really appreciate it if you could say what grade you are in. I would like to know what level math problem this is. Thanks much!
